Medics of Tyumen during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945)

During the Great Patriotic War, doctors worked selflessly, saving the lives of wounded soldiers both in frontline areas and in the rear. From the very first days of the war, Tyumen doctors took an active part in organizing evacuation hospitals and providing medical and consultative assistance to wounded and sick soldiers. The historical and educational theme of the project fits within the framework of modern federal legislation and regulatory legal acts aimed at promoting historical education, as well as fostering a unified Russian civic identity and strengthening the Russian World based on traditional Russian spiritual, moral, and cultural-historical values (See: Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 314 of May 8, 2024, “On the Approval of the Fundamentals of the State Policy of the Russian Federation in the Field of Historical Education”).
