Born on November 26, 1918, in the village of Neukladitsa, Chernovsky District, Vyatka Province. Fleeing from famine, her family moved from the Kirov Region to the city of Tyumen, where her father’s three brothers lived at the time. After finishing seven years of schooling, she entered the Tyumen Medical College. Three years of study, completed in 1938, allowed her to graduate with honors as a nurse. As one of the best graduates, she was sent to study at the M. I. Kalinin Omsk Medical Institute.

On July 15, 1942, after passing her exams early, she completed her studies at the medical institute and was drafted into the Red Army. She was assigned to the 1408th Rifle Regiment of the 562nd Rifle Division on the First Far Eastern Front. She served for four years—initially as a junior doctor of the 1408th Rifle Regiment and later as the head of the infirmary. She participated in the war against Japan.

After leaving military service in 1946, Major of the Medical Service worked for two years as a physician-therapist in the medical and sanitary unit of the NKVD in Tyumen. Later, for 28 years, she worked at the regional hospital, serving for a quarter of a century as the head of the therapeutic department. Afterwards, she transferred to City Polyclinic No. 1, where she continued to work even while retired.

In 1953, in honor of the 50th anniversary of International Women’s Day, she was nominated for the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. In July 1957, she was awarded the badge “Excellence in Public Health.” In 1961, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, Anna Vasilyevna Bacherikova was granted the honorary title “Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation.” In 1963, after successfully passing certification, she was awarded the First Category qualification as a physician-therapist.

By decision of the Tyumen City Duma No. 46 of April 27, 1995, “for personal contribution to socio-economic development, active participation in the life of the city, and in connection with the 50th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945,” Anna Vasilyevna Bacherikova was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the City of Tyumen.” She lived in Tyumen and passed away on September 18, 2014.
